  • A medical expert is instructed by your solicitor to assess your injuries.
  • A Schedule of Losses is prepared by your solicitor. This lists all the financial losses you have experienced as a result of the accident.
  • Your solicitor will then send the Schedule of Losses to the defendant’s legal representatives asking them to pay.

The defendant has accepted responsibility.
Your solicitor negotiates with the defendant about the value of your compensation.

The compensation is agreed plus solicitor’s costs.
 

Claim Disputed

If the defendant disputes your claim, and agreement cannot be reached, the case will go to Court.
