Who has to know about my IVA?

One of the main reasons a Trust Deed is more popular than sequestration (bankruptcy) is because a Trust Deed does not become public knowledge. It is discreet. The only people that have to know about your Trust Deed are your creditors and your Insolvency Practitioner. Even your employer does not have to know.

If you are a member of a professional organisation (for example you may be a Surveyor) they do not need to be told about your Trust Deed unless, within their regulations, you are obliged to inform them.
