Unless it is a matter of life and death, do not agree to make any payment that you intend to claim back until you have contacted your Insurance Company.
Keep relevant documents, bills, receipts and tickets to validate your claim. In most instances, you will expected to send these with your claim form.
Important advice from Brokers Online.
Before claiming, we suggest that you bear in mind any excess that you may have to pay towards your claim.
For example, if you have an excess of £50 and your claim is for £100, you may decide it makes more sense to have claim- free record, which will keep your premiums low in the future.
If you have any further queries on how to claim, speak to your Insurance Company who will be pleased to help you.
