Can I Get Private Medical Insurance If I Am Disabled?
You can still get private medical insurance if you are disabled. Insurance companies are not allowed to refuse you on this basis.
Your disability will be treated in the same way as a pre-existing condition, and any treatment that is needed in relation to your disability will not be covered.
Make sure than when signing up to your insurance policy you reveal all the relevant information about your disability. This is particularly important if you are signing a medical history declaration.
